Welcome to the fifth installment of our new blog series for 2016, featuring our favorite designer wedding dresses.  We hope you're having as much fun this lovely series as we are!  Today, let's focus on Atelier des Modistes whose couture wedding gowns take our breath away.

Atelier des Modistes is a chic boutique of custom-designed, hand-crafted wedding gowns made of the finest materials in San Francisco.  It's a local gem!  All wedding gowns are designed by Suzanne Hanley, and each bride works with her from start to finish to create their unique wedding gown.  The custom wedding gowns are spun of luxurious silks from Italy, delicate lace from France, and beading of Swarovzki crystals, semiprecious stones, and freshwater pearls in their workroom.  Some Atelier des Modistes wedding gowns are classic, while others are contemporary but all are equally stunning.  We always love them!  One-of-a-kind Atelier des Modistes wedding gowns are only available at their Hyde Street boutique in San Francisco.

We are doing the happy dance!  We're thrilled to have our amazing clients' San Francisco, CA wedding featured on Carats & Cake.  Tina and Spencer had a classic city wedding last fall at the historic Ferry Building.  It was a true stunner including an elegant navy blue and white color palette, gorgeous white and green flowers with navy blue, gold and brown accents, and minimalist invitations featuring an unique Ferry Building clock tower bookmark.  The flawless affair was swoon-worthy, especially the bride's incredible Carolina Herrera wedding gown!  There is just so much to love and admire about this timeless wedding so you simply must take a peek at the beautiful feature.

Our special thanks to Julie Mikos for the perfect photographs, Paula LeDuc Fine Catering for the seasonal menu, La Fleuriste for the lovely flowers, and Coral Pheasant Stationery & Design for the wonderful wedding stationery.

We hope you are enjoying our new blog series for 2016featuring our favorite designer wedding dresses.  For the the third installment, we're highlighting amazing Vera Wang wedding gowns that we absolutely adore.

As a bride-to-be in 1989, Vera Wang was less than impressed with the wedding gown options available.  Her frustration led her to design her first wedding gown for herself.  One year later, Vera Wang opened her first bridal boutique at The Carlyle Hotel in New York City.  Now she is a prominent wedding gown designer known for fusing sophistication, feminine details, and modern design.  Vera Wang wedding gowns are innovative, elegant works of art!  Throughout the years, her wedding gowns have graced celebrities like Chelsea Clinton, Ivanka Trump, and Victoria Beckham at their weddings.  Vera Wang wedding gowns can be found at the flagship Vera Wang Bride in New York, Vera Wang Bride in San Francisco and Beverly Hills, Mark Ingram Bridal Atelier, as well as select Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue and Nordstrom locations.
