I am thrilled to share Kelly's Five Quick Tips for your wedding on the blog today:
1. Include only the traditions that hold meaning for you. Don’t just do the garter because you feel like you have too.
2. Start working on picking your music for key moments early. It will take you longer than you think.
3. Offer shuttle service. Yes, its an additional expense but your guests will love you for it.
4. Don’t forget to bring a second pair of shoes to change into. There’s nothing worse than a bride hobbling around on her wedding day.
5. Don’t forget to eat and stay hydrated. It's a long, emotional day and you need your energy!
We have a couple more questions for Kelly....
What was your favorite thing about your wedding?
Other than the official getting married part, was dancing the night away with family and friends. The candid photos from the dance floor are priceless. (And yes, I changed into flip flops after our first dance).
If you could change one thing about your wedding, what would it be?
I wouldn’t have hired the transportation company I did. They left during the reception (even though they were supposed to be available for grandparents, etc., who wanted to go back early) and then they didn’t do a second run back to the reception from the after party location. Which meant they left me (the bride) and bridal party at the reception site. Needless to say, I’ve told all of my clients to never hire them.
Thank you, Kelly, for those helpful tips!
