Orange and Red Healdsburg Wedding by Flory Photo and Natalie Bowen Designs

This past weekend I had the pleasure of working on a wedding for an industry friend and colleague, Natalie Bowen of Natalie Bowen Designs. When Natalie and her fiance Seth got engaged last year, I asked Natalie if I could be her wedding planner as my wedding gift to them. Natalie and I have worked on several weddings and events together and she's got such great flair and style -- not to mention she's one of the sweetest gals you'll ever meet. I also knew the flowers would be off the chart gorgeous (how could they not be with a floral designer at the helm of her own wedding!). Here are a few sneak peek photos from the Flory Photo team (led by Joel Flory) who captured the day beautifully. The day featured lots of peonies, fun fabrics and pops of orange and red, with some poppy touches as well.

As a little surprise to Natalie & Seth, we put together a "surprise" table where they could take a moment to reflect alone and toast to each other to their newly sealed nuptials! We also made sure they had a few snacks to nosh on (including Hog Island Oysters) before joining their guests at the cocktail hour.

Later in the evening, it was time to cut the cake and we had a bevy of sweet treats for the guests -- ten cakes from Downtown Bakery in Healdsburg. We placed them on assorted cake stands from Natalie's family and my collection, and topped with a jaunty piece of fabric featuring colorful poppies.
