Be sure to also visit Gina's Lola Video Blog for lots of links to wedding videos that will be sure to make you swoon. Here's a link to a video she shot for two of my clients last year. Gorgeous!
Here are Gina's 5 Quick Tips for Your Wedding:
1. Don't take on too many DIY projects & especially do not procrastinate on putting them together. You will just tire yourself before the big day.
2. Be sure to do a trial run with your hair & make up person(s). No one feels good when they do not like they way they look.
3. Splurge on the things that matter to you the most and set a realistic goal on the rest.
4. Anticipate a late start. Plan ahead and cushion your timeline at least 1/2 hour ahead.
5. Don't forget you are planning for a marriage, not just a wedding. Be ready to reason & compromise with each other on decisions regarding the wedding day. It can definitely be a test of your love :)
We asked Gina to answer a couple of questions about her wedding day...
What was your favorite thing about your wedding?
After our wedding reception was over, we had his brother drop us off downtown since we lived 2 blocks away. We opened a bottle of wine and shared it by a fountain that we would hang out at when we were dating. We talked about the day, laughed, cried and then had a nice walk home.
If you could change one thing about your wedding, what would it be?
I wish we would've taken a few moments away from all the guests at some point during the day to reflect on each other. The whole day was just a blur and was over before we knew it.
Thank you, Gina, for these great tips!
