Little Details: The Upstairs Bar at Per Diem

Last night I had the honor of helping the designer behind Per Diem (the new restaurant in the financial district) with a few projects around the restaurant. My work was strictly limited to some painting, sanding and stapling, but I love the zebra patterned bar that designer Sean Wells conceived. The contrasting wood is just beautiful and I love the toe kick space was also patterned with the same wood. We debated quite a bit on the trim above the wood where it meets the gold. A few ideas were tossed around (rope, gold, navy, dark brown). In the end, gold won. Be sure to check it out in person!
