This past weekend was Chuck Williams, founder of Williams-Sonoma's birthday. There was a quote on Williams-Sonoma's facebook page today that I loved and I wanted to share it.

I had the pleasure of working for Williams-Sonoma, Inc. for a few years (on the Pottery Barn Kids brand) and I used to see Chuck nearly every day walking down the halls, having lunch in the cafe. He is in his mid-90s now (still going to work every day!). He is truly an inspiration to us all. 

A fun wedding-related fact: Chuck is credited with creating the first bridal registry. In the 1950s he kept a list of the equipment brides needed when they came to his first San Francisco store in downtown San Francisco (the original store was in Sonoma).
